Welcome to Coulsdon and Farnham Osteopath Clinics
Are you struggling with pain and immobility? Do you hope it will go away? Are you unable to do what you enjoy? Is your pain affecting your sleep or ability to exercise? Are you wondering if osteopathy could help you?
Charlotte Hunt Osteopaths delights in offering two osteopathic clinic locations in Surrey. One is in Coulsdon and, more recently, the new clinic in Farnham is available to help you. We want to get you back to doing what you enjoy, whatever your symptoms are.
Charlotte established her Practice 15 years ago. Previously she practised within a Harley Street clinic for seven years. She and her highly trained and experienced osteopath team treat all types of muscle aches and joint pains. These can be from your head to fingers and toes. They use a broad range of tailored, gentle, and holistic techniques to help patients of all ages. These might be babies to the most senior members of your family. More recent or longer-term pain we treat regularly in the clinic.
Treatment focused specifically for you.
Furthermore, our osteopaths have helped many patients with pain symptoms. These include back pain, sciatica, trapped nerves, neck pain and stiffness, frozen shoulder plus knee and hip pains. We also see repetitive strain and problems arising from sporting injuries, pain from bursitis, disc bulges, tendinopathy/tendonitis, and headaches. Moreover, we frequently see patients with pelvic girdle dysfunction. We also see other pregnancy and post-natal related pains. Babies will also benefit from gentle cranial techniques that ease any discomfort.
Most of our patients come to us via recommendations from other patients. Please see our Google Map Reviews on both our Coulsdon and Farnham Clinics. We’re open Monday to Thursday, with evening appointments available.
Limitations to Osteopathy does not have limits to just treating muscles and joints. We consider the inter-relationships of the body’s other systems in assessing your symptoms. These include the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, digestive, cranial, lymphatic, and immune systems. The body is a whole unit, including the structures and systems. We train to bring together a patient’s case history. Furthermore, we take all the puzzle pieces to diagnose and treat your body as a whole person.
Enjoy Living without Pain again!
We create a treatment plan including techniques chosen explicitly for your symptoms. The aim is to restore balance and function to the whole body. Advice and bespoke exercises will be provided as part of your treatment. They will also help the body better deal with the problems it is experiencing.
Ostepaths statutorily become regulated primary allied healthcare professionals. All registered osteopaths also follow strict guidelines from our regulatory body (GOSC) and the Institute of Osteopathy guidance. Osteopaths train for 4 or 5 years for an undergraduate degree, including hundreds of hours working in teaching clinics. Continued professional development with ongoing training is an obligatory requirement to maintain the high standards required of a Registered Osteopath. To maintain registration, all osteopaths follow the strict code of conduct under the Osteopath Practice Standards. All osteopaths will also have professional liability and medical malpractice insurance.
As Osteopaths, we also need to maintain our public health responsibilities. Currently, there are no COVID-19 restrictions in the UK. However, we continue to meet the clinic’s elevated level of infection control. All health professionals, including osteopaths, must follow UK public health guidance. This will be their approach to infection control to practice following the Osteopathic Practice Standards.
Please review our COVID-19 page for an outline of our updated infection controls. You can also find the practices and what to expect during your visit here.
